Dr. Raymond Wong

Dr. Raymond Ka Yau Wong graduated from the Li Ka Shing School of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. He was awarded the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists Award and the Wong Ching Yee Medical Award in the same year. After completing his internship, he joined the Hospital Authority and received his specialist training at Kowloon Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital, specializing in community psychiatry. His academic thesis was on alexithymia and interoceptive sensibility in depression. After obtaining the qualification as a specialist in psychiatry, he became an honorary clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an honorary clinical tutor at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong.

In addition to specialist training in psychiatry, Dr. Wong has completed motivational interviewing training and obtained the Certified Trainer qualification from the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in the United States. He continued to provide trainings to education and social welfare agencies.

Dr. Wong is currently in private practice at HealthyMind Centre. He is actively developing school-base psychiatric and psychological services. He also pioneers rTMS services for various psychiatric conditions in this locality. At the same time, he is working with different medical platforms, social welfare organizations, school groups and youth activity organizations to promote mental health.
